Man Injured In Fort Worth Drag Boat Race Rollover

FORT WORTH (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ― A 66-year-old man from California was injured Sunday afternoon when the boat he was driving in a drag racing competition rolled over at the finish line of a race at Marine Creek Lake in Northwest Fort Worth.

Don Ermshar of Riverside, California was transported to a local hospital, but only suffered a separated shoulder in the crash according to Fort Worth Fire Lt. Kent Worley.

Ermshar was going well over 100 miles per hour at the time of the accident.  He was competing in the Cowtown Drag Boat Nationals being held at the lake.

No one else was injured in the crash.
