by J.D. Miles
DALLAS (CBS 11 News) ―
Dallas vice officers shutdown two video game rooms overnight.
CBS 11 News had exclusive access to the raids that resulted in the seizure of more than 50 eight-liner games.
The first raid began before 9 a.m. at a location on Webb Chapel and Northwest Highway. In all, 39 eight-liner machines were seized and four people, including the suspected owner of the game room, will face citations or criminal charges.
Police also seized more than $4,000 in cash before moving on to another suspected gambling operation on Exposition near downtown Dallas.
Dallas vice officers say they are getting more complaints about the machines and plan to continue their aggressive pursuit of violators.
So far this year the city has conducted almost twice as many raids as last year and seized more than 160 machines.
