Crooks Steal From Elderly At Fort Worth Club

FORT WORTH (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ― People in a Fort Worth neighborhood are stunned after gunmen robbed a hangout popular with an elderly crowd.

The Forty Fifty Restaurant is a club that caters to an older crowd with nostalgic music and dominoes.

Late Thursday night three men in their late teens or early twenties barged in waving a pistol.

Leroy Rogers was among those robbed.  He said the men ordered everyone in the club to get on the floor.

They took wallets, purses and cell phones from people as old as 80.

"I don't deal with the younger generation," said manager Jeanette Madkin.  "'Cause there always tends  to be trouble."

Almost all the victims are on fixed incomes.

Fortunately, no one was hurt.
