Allen Man Sentenced For Fake Postage Scam

SHERMAN (AP) ― An Allen man must serve two years in federal prison and repay more than $314,000 in a fake postage meter scam.

The U.S. Attorney's Office says 29-year-old Vincent Wing-Shing Wong was sentenced Thursday by a federal judge in Sherman.

Wong in February pleaded guilty to printing and using counterfeit postage meter stamps over a period of nearly seven years.

Prosecutors say Wong from 2001 through November 2007 acquired stolen items, sold them on eBay and the used fake postage stamps to mail the merchandise.
