FWPD Unveils Prostitution Initiative: 'John TV'
FORT WORTH (CBS 11 News) ―
The Fort Worth Police Department is adding a new tactic to its fight against prostitution.
Today the department unveiled "John TV." The city is posting photographs and other personal information about people who are arrested for prostitution-related offenses on the department's Web site and also on the city's cable channel.
The police department says the goal is to "provide public awareness of criminal activity to deter criminals and alert the public."
On Tuesday, mug shots of nine men were posted on the department's site.
