Freeze Warning Issued For Parts Of North Texas

FORT WORTH (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ― The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for parts of the western half of North Texas. Counties included in the warning include Denton, Wise, Cooke, Parker, Hood, Somervell, Bosque, Erath, Palo Pinto, Jack and Montague.
Temperatures will briefly drop to the freezing mark first thing Wednesday morning in some locations within the warning area.

Dallas, Collin and Tarrant County are not included in the warning.
There will likely be some frost in the metroplex Tuesday night. Typical cold areas will likely see temperatures cold enough to produce some frost. The low at DFW Airport will likely be between 38 and 40 degrees. Fort Worth will likely drop to 36 degrees.

There will be some rain chances Thursday night into Friday morning as an upper level disturbance passes over Texas. The best chance of rain will be to the east and south of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, but I will keep a 40-percent chance of rain in the forecast during this time frame.

Temperatures should be around 70 degrees for the weekend with mostly sunny skies. There is a chance for some rain late Sunday but most of the weekend will be dry.
