Authorities Find Pot Farm In Collin County

COLLIN COUNTY (CBS 11 News) ― A tip called in to Garland police led authorities to a pot farm in Collin County.

The farm was found on FM 205, just north of the Collin County line.

So far, DPS officers estimate 800 plants have been found.

The marijuana is on three different plots on private property.

Jason Mineo of Rockwall, the owner of the property is from Rockwall. The 39-year-old has been arrested and is still in police custody.

Just yesterday, authorities found another marijuana farm in Grand Prairie. This is the sixth major marijuana field found in Dallas County in the last two months.

DPS agents say they found the pot plants about a mile north of Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie. Officers removed about 2,000 marijuana plants from a small island in a creek.
