Friends, Family Gather For Missing FW Woman Vigil
FORT WORTH (CBS 11 News) ―
Family, friends and co-workers of a missing Fort Worth woman spent the night hoping and praying.
A small crowd gathered outside Gail Furch's apartment for a candlelight vigil on Saturday.
Furch was last seen about a week ago after she left her job at the General Motors plant in Arlington. Police found her burned-out car at an abandoned car wash in Dallas six days later.
Furch was part of a group of longtime residents and her disappearance has hit everyone hard -- including the apartment manager.
Her daughters said they were hoping their 51-year-old mother would come back safe and sound.
Furch's daughter, Shimon, has begged the public for help since her mother's car was found.
"We just need to know what happened. So if anybody knows anything we just plead to the community... today it's me, tomorrow it could be you. Just to the community, just to get involved and if you know anything just call the police and let them know."
