FW Police Investigate Disturbing Find In Freezer

FORT WORTH (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ― Fort Worth Police are investigating the discovery of what appears to be two human hands in a freezer.

This developing story is taking place at a house in the 1100 block of Grainger in Fort Worth.  That's in the Hospital District.

The house is subdivided into seven apartments.

Patrick McCusker was getting ready to move into the upstairs apartment. He was finishing some last minute cleaning when he opened the freezer and saw something in a clear plastic bag.

He wasn't sure what it was, so he took it out to some of his neighbors.

"I brought it down to my friends," McCusker said. "They took a look at it and it was two hands."

"He knocked on my door and showed me one of the hands, and I got sick," said neighbor Michael Paul.  "I have never in 51 years of my life witnessed something like this." When police got to the house, they looked at the find and initially said they were indeed human hands.  But on closer inspection, they now say it might just be sausage or some other meat stuffed into plastic gloves to look like human hands. They are waiting on the Medical Examiner's office to make a final determination.

Two brothers in their forties have lived in the apartment off and on for about six years. They just moved out two days ago.
