Irving Homeowner Shoots Would-Be Burglar
IRVING (AP) ―
An Irving homeowner surprised a would-be burglar in his backyard overnight and shot the man as he defended his property.
The resident told police after previous burglaries, he took his gun to investigate when he heard noises from a backyard shed.
The prowler was stealing lawn equipment and then attacked the homeowner, the man told officers during questioning.
According to reports, the homeowner shot the alleged burglar, who was taken to the hospital.
