KELLER (CBS 11 News) ― Keller Police are asking for help to find a missing woman.

Donna Sandlin is a counseling aide at Fort Worth's Fossil Ridge High School.

Police say Sandlin left her house in Keller early Monday morning and headed for work. She was supposed to arrive at the school between 5:30 a.m. and 5:45 a.m., but she never did.

"It's not normal for her to do this," said Lt. Brenda Slovak of the Keller Police Department. "She's always on time, prompt, according to her co-workers, and it's very unusual for her to not show up for work. So, that does concern us."

Monday night at 7 p.m., her car was found in the parking lot of a restaurant on S. Main Street. Police say the car, a 1993 Toyota Land Cruiser, looked normal except for a flat tire. Sandlin's purse was not inside. Technicians are processing the vehicle for fingerprints and other evidence.

Officers also searched the empty field behind the restaurant Monday night and again Tuesday morning, but found nothing.

Friends and family members are creating a search party for the woman and sending out fliers.

Tim Bird, a friend of the family, said that the Sandlins are "numb" over the incident. "My hope and prayer is that this community will get involved," he said. "That we would pray."

Police say Donna Sandlin is 47 years old. She it 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs 190 pounds and has blonde hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing black pants and a black and white shirt.

Keller Police ask anyone with information about Donna Sandlin's location to call Sgt. Keith Lane at 817-743-4581.
