Teacher Accused Of Sex With Teen Arrested Again

DENTON (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ― A former middle school teacher in Denton accused of sexually assaulting a student last year is in trouble again.

Denton police say they arrested Lauren Cosgrove Monday for tampering with a witness.

They claim she sent the boy a text message asking him if his parents would drop the charges if she gave them money. The text came after the two allegedly spent time alone together on Dec. 1.

This is the second time she has been arrested for tampering with a witness in this case. In October of 2007, police say she tried to have one of the boy's classmates contact him for her, requesting that he change his statement against her. 

Cosgrove was originally arrested in June of 2007 for aggravated sexual assault of a child.
