Three Dead In Crash Near Lavon Lake
LAVON (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ―
Three people were killed in a car crash near Lavon Lake Friday morning.
The wreck happened on State Highway 205, just south of State Highway 78 at the south end of the Lavon Lake dam.
Police say an SUV and minivan collided when the SUV crossed the center lane into oncoming traffic.
Three people inside the minivan were killed. A fourth person, a 4-year-old strapped into a carseat, survived the crash.
The three killed were the 4-year-old's mother and her parents. The two people inside the SUV received non-life threatning injuries.
The road has reopened, but police are still investigating the cause, they say the wet roads could have been a factor.
