More Jailed Dallas Teens Allege Sexual Assault
Two More Boys Allege Tutor Sexually Assaulted Them
DALLAS (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ―
A Dallas teacher accused of using threats to solicit sex from teenagers is back in jail after two more accusations.
Luis De Los Santos faces additional charges of sexual assault of a child, indecency with a child, and improper relationship between an educator and student. Bond on these new charges has been set at $225,000.
The allegations against De Los Santos first surfaced last week, when an attorney for two male, teenage inmates alerted authorities.
According to the attorney, the 15- and 16-year-olds told him that De Los Santos lured them away from guards into a restroom while on tutoring visits and threatened to "mess up their cases" if they didn't accept his sexual advances.
The teens are waiting trial on murder and aggravated assault charges.
The alleged victims were all juvenile inmates at the Dallas County Jail waiting to stand trial as adults.
De Los Santos is now on administrative leave with Dallas ISD, where he had worked since 2004.
District officials said he mostly worked with students who are physically unable to attend school including those in jail -- but he could have also tutored students in hospitals or at their residences.
Through his attorney, De Los Santos has reportedly denied any inappropriate behavior with a student.
