New Video Released Of Man Wanted For Teen's Murder

CARROLLTON (CBS 11 News) ― Carrollton police released surveillance video they say shows Ernesto Reyes buying gasoline in the early morning hours of September 24. Police believe he used that gasoline to burn the body of 19-year-old Melanie Goodwin after he allegedly killed her.

According to a police affidavit, he asked his friend Donovan Young to borrow money for the gasoline sometime between 2 and 4 a.m. He allegedly told his friend that he murdered Goodwin. Then police say he dumped her body near a business park in Carrollton.

Police say the gas is in close proximity to where the body was found. Carrollton police hope that the video will trigger someone's memory.

Anyone with information about Ernesto Reyes is asked to call the Carrollton Police Department at (972) 466-3322.
