DPD Needs Public's Help In Finding Missing Woman

DALLAS (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ― A Dallas mother of two is missing and both her family and police suspect foul play. The missing persons unit has two detectives assigned to the case.

But friends and family of Latrese Daniels fear the worst now that she's been missing almost a week.

"I go to sleep at night, I have nobody to talk to because my best friend is gone," said Dionne Simmons, the missing woman's roommate.

The 20-year-old woman was last seen around 1:30 early Saturday morning when she was dropped off by her boyfriend at the South Dallas apartment she shares with her roommate.

The roommate said she woke up at 5 a.m. that same day to find the front door and refrigerator door open.

Friends and family of Daniels don't suspect anyone she knows of harming her, and they are posting flyers around the apartment complexes along West Wheatland.

"I want to think it was someone that she knew, because knowing her like I know her, she would have put up a struggle screamed or something," said Kathy Jones, Daniels' aunt. "But like her friend said, she didn't hear anything."

Friends of the missing woman say she's been working on going to a training school, hoping to be a medical office worker.

Police have no leads at this point and are asking for the publics help.
