Family Continues Search For Missing FW Woman
FORT WORTH (CBS 11 News) ―
Two weeks ago, Glenda Gail Furch vanished from Fort Worth. She was last seen leaving her job at the General Motors plant in Arlington. Since then there's been no sign of the 51-year-old woman.
Now her family is taking the search into their own hands.
This week they've been out in the community. Spreading the word. Hoping someone knows what happened.
One of the places they're concentrating their efforts is the southeast Dallas neighborhood where her burned-up car was found more than a week ago.
"We're putting out fliers," said her daughter Shaimon Furch, "letting people know."
Shaimon is being joined by other family members and some of Gail's co-workers from the GM plant.
The family has even started listening to police scanners as they try to find her. They're also following up on reports of sightings in the community. One such location is Lake Arlington.
"There was some activity going on down here," said Furch's niece Stephanie Sterling while at the lake this week, "and we know that this is one of the places where things are not right people tend to come up missing. This is just one of the places that they find people."
The family's frustration is mounting, but they're not giving up hope. They just want to know what happened.
