NRH Woman Stopped By Fake Cop Talks To CBS 11
NORTH RICHLAND HILLS (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ―
A North Richland Hills woman pulled over by a fake police officer contacted CBS 11 Sunday morning after seeing our report.
The woman, Courtney Wasson, told CBS 11 that the fake cop copied down all of her personal information on Wednesday morning.
An unidentified person then tried to break into her apartment the following night.
"We heard a loud noise, and found the screen had been pried off its hinges in my boyfriend's daughter's bedroom. He had checked all the windows and doors around 7 p.m. He made sure they were all locked, and they were." said Wasson.
Her boyfriend, Daniel Barrett, said "You're waiting for someone to come in at night, you feel violated."
After the incident Thursday, Wasson purchased a guard dog, and says she doesn't feel comfortable being at home alone. "I just see him now, everywhere I go."
North Richland Hills Police describe the impersonator as driving a white car and being between 30-35 years of age, 5'9" and weighing approximately 120 pounds.
