Woman Shot In Mall Parking Lot Faces Surgery

DALLAS (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ― A woman sitting in a parked car at NorthPark Center was shot by an attempted carjacker Friday night.

The woman said she was waiting for her daughter about 9:30 p.m. when a man walked to the driver's side window and shot her. 

Mary Boyd of Waxahachie was able to drive away and later went to the hospital after talking to police.

On Saturday, her husband said she was shot in the cheek and faces surgery after the swelling goes down.

Schepps Dairy will pay $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and grand jury indictment. NorthPark has offered $25,000.  Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 214-760-8477.
