Plano Mother Arrested For Allegedly Harming Child

PLANO (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ― A Plano mother was arrested after her child fell from the second story to the first floor of their home.

The incident happened just before 9 a.m. Tuesday on the 4500 block of Cape Charles Drive. The 21-month-old girl was rushed to the hospital with none-life threatening injuries.

Police arrested 37-year-old Padmaja Enjeti and charged her with injury to a child.

"We have information that would lead us to believe it was not an accident," said David Tilley, Plano Police Department. "We have reason to believe that she allegedly intended to cause harm to the child."

The girl has an older sibling, who is now in the custody of Child Protective Services.
