Heavy Rain Moving Through Mid-Cities

FORT WORTH (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ― Showers continue to move through the metro area this afternoon.

A few heavy downpours are moving through the mid cities and up toward Watauga, North Richland Hills and Keller.  A quick .25" of rain is possible as these showers pass by.

There have been only two lightning strikes in the past hour with these showers.  We might see a few more lightning strikes as we head through the afternoon, but no strong or severe storms are expected.  This will just be a good soaking for some people.

The spotty showers will continue this evening and overnight, but the actual front will pass through Dallas and Fort Worth late Wednesday morning.

Tomorrow will be another cloudy day with showers and a few thunderstorms possible.  It will be cooler, with morning temperatures starting in the mid 60s and only climbing into the low 70s around noon.  They will probably drop into the 60s during the afternoon once the front passes by.
