Road Rage May Have Caused Father's Death In Dallas

by Jack Fink
DALLAS (CBS 11 News) ― A man out for a drive with his family Tuesday night is dead from a road rage shooting.

The fatal shot was fired near the corner of Abrams Road and Walnut Street in Dallas.

The victim's wife was driving southbound on Abrams Road when the vehicle following them moved into the passing lane and sped up next to them.

The driver of that car shot at the victim's car, missing the woman and hitting the man in the passenger's seat.

The woman drove in shock, eventually stopping on Walnut St. near Richland College in Richardson where she called police.

The woman told police the man was either a Latin male or a light-skinned Black male. He was driving a small, silver SUV.

The couple's 8-year-old son was also in the car.

The wounded man was taken to Parkland Hospital where he later died.

Police are still searching for the suspect.
