Scarecrow Bandit Suspects Indicted

DALLAS (CBS 11 News) ― A federal grand jury indicted the seven "Scarecrow Bandit" bank robbery suspects on Tuesday.

Police arrested the suspected members of the robbery gang Monday.

They are now facing conspiracy and weapons charges.

Also on Tuesday, law enforcement authorities released the names of the seven suspects.  They are:

Corey Deyon Duffey, 27
Tony R. Hewitt, 42
Jarvis Dupree Ross, 29
Darobie Kentay Stenline, 30
Charles Runnels, 42
Antonyo Reece, 31
Yolanda McDow, 41

Law enforcement sources tell CBS 11 News Runnels is facing a murder charge in Dallas.  He was arrested on April 14, 2008 but had been out of jail on bond.

The federal charges they're now facing could send each to prison for life.

The arrests followed an attempted bank robbery in Garland, two high-speed police chases and a standoff at a Costco store in Plano.

The "Scarecrow Bandits" are suspected in 20 bank robberies across North Texas since July, 2007.
