Reward Offered For Info On Security Guard Murder
ARLINGTON (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ―
A reward is now being offered for information about a murder over the weekend.
A security guard was shot and killed during a robbery in east Arlington.
Ali Aziz was gunned down in a game room early Sunday morning. His family hopes surveillance video will help lead to an arrest.
Police say two men are seen in surveillance video are responsible for Aziz's death. The men robbed customers in the game room after shooting the 41-year-old.
"He was a very nice man. I love him too much," said Huma Aziz, Ali's wife. Huma and her four young children are grief stricken over the murder of her husband.
"I just feel like it not good, you know, because it's a gambling place. All the bad people go there," said Huma.
Close friend Ardalan Wali says Aziz was a refugee from Iraq. He served in the U.S. Army before being placed on medical leave. Wali says his friend always helped other refugees.
"He was a good, great person, not for his family only, but people around him too," he said.
Schepps Dairy is offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest in the case.
