Red Bird Rapist May Have Committed Dallas Assaults

DALLAS (CBS 11 News) ― Police say a man who assaulted three women last month in Oak Cliff may now be responsible for attacking two more women in northeast Dallas.

The latest attacks were August 27th around the 1100- block of Audelia and another last Friday near the 9600- block of Skillman.

Dallas police fear the attacker is the same man who sexually assaulted three women in the Red Bird area last month.

The five attacks have all been with a knife.

Police say the rapist approaches women at night and initiates a conversation before taking them to an undisclosed location in a gold four-door sedan.

"If this individual has been operating in the Oak Cliff area and if for some reason deciding to go up north. We want to get the information out to all the public to be aware and be mindful and cautious of their surroundings," said Lt. Rick Watson, Dallas Police Department.

The description police have of the rapist is a 25-to-35 year old black male, 5'10 to 6'2, with a medium build and short hair.
