Texas Fugitive Found Living In Louisiana

RUSTON, La. (AP) ― Authorities say a man on Texas' most wanted list and "America's Most Wanted" has been in Lincoln Parish under the name of his deceased grandfather for about eight months.

Sheriff Mike Stone said a tip from an informant led to the arrest Tuesday night of Sidney Ira Campbell, who had been using the name William Moore until an acquaintance discovered his true identity, the Shreveport Times reported.

Stone said the 25-year-old, is wanted on about a dozen charges in Texas and Louisiana.

The Longview News-Journal reported that the person who learned Campbell's name did a "Google" search, discovered he was a fugitive and called police. Campbell has eluded authorities for about three years.

Authorities say Campbell recently was indicted on a charge of aggravated sexual assault of a child following an accusation by his girlfriend's daughter. When police came to arrest him at his mother's home in Kilgore, he escaped into the woods behind the house. While fleeing, he reportedly assaulted two officers.
