Serial Rapist Victim Speaks Exclusively To CBS 11
by Karen Borta
NORTH TEXAS (CBS 11 News) ―
Police believe the man who raped and stabbed a Frisco woman in her apartment early Tuesday morning is the serial rapist who's attacked 18 other women during the past two years.
One of those victims spoke exclusively with CBS 11 News.
"I still get night terrors, to this day," the victim said. She did not want to be identified because she knows her attacker is still at large.
November of 2005 is when the normal life this woman knew came to an end, she said.
"It just about ripped the heart out of my chest seeing the report today," she said. "It seems like he's gotten even more violent, and that's even more scary."
She's waited almost a year and a half for her attacker to be caught and said that wait is frustrating.
"I guess I watch too much CSI. I always figured you get the evidence and somehow you track it back to the person who did it," she said. "But in real life, that's not always the way it works."
Her hope is that the man brags about it and someone with a conscious will do the right thing.
"This person has no respect for human life, no respect for other people," she said. "He really needs to be caught."
Her advice for other single women is to get apartments that aren't on the bottom floor. She warned bottom floor apartments provide easy access and added that locked doors and windows won't stop someone who's determined to get inside.
