Family Of NRH Murder Victim Speaks
NORTH RICHLAND HILLS (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ―
Marianne Wilkinson attended First Baptist Church of Keller every Sunday.
"Mom was very serious about her faith," said her son Mike Wilkinson. "She walked with the Lord very well."
But this Sunday, her family is praying police catch her killer, and they are relying on their faith as they try to move on without her.
"So many people have been praying for us, and I've told them it's obviously very evident, because we're holding up," said Mike.
The person who killed the 68-year-old grandmother is still on the streets.
"Anybody who knows anything, we certainly want them to come to the North Richland Hills police department and say what they know," said Mike.
Police have named Dennis Taylor, the owner of a Fort Worth trucking company, as a person of interest in the case.
According to court documents, Dennis and Dusty Taylor have been involved in a messy divorce. Both parties asked for restraining orders on each other. Dusty claims her husband threatened to kill her.
Sources say Dusty called police shortly after Wilkinson was murdered and said she thought she was the intended target of the shooting. She lives one block over from the Wilkinsons' and has the same house number.
Police are also calling Vincent Lane a person of interest. He works for Dennis at NTE Transportation.
"I think the hardest part is getting back into the swing of things and to get your life back in order," said Marianne's husband Don Wilkinson.
The family said they are focusing on the beauty she left behind in her home and in everyone she loved.
"When you left being with her, you were happy," said Mike. "You always felt better."
Leads continue to come in to the North Richland Hills Police Department about the case.
A $25,000 reward is being offered for anyone with information that leads to the arrest of the person who murdered her.
