3,500+ With No Power As Rain Continues

FORT WORTH (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ― Thousands of people woke up to no power this moring.

Oncor says the bad weather has left 3,800 customers in the DFW area without electricity.

The non-stop rain also created a slippery mess for the North Texas commute.

The rain will linger through the morning today before clearing from west to east around midday.

Keep in mind though, that even if temperatures drop to 32 degrees, the ground is still very warm from the past 7 days with temps in the 70s and 80s. So no icing problems are expected.

FRIDAY
After seeing a nice break in the rain on Thursday afternoon and evening, another upper level disturbance will move through Texas and bring more rain chances our way.

Additional heavy rain is possible on Friday in to Friday evening. The latest models do not show as much rain as what we have seen with the first two rounds but it will have to be watched.

SATURDAY
Mostly cloudy skies with light drizzle and light rain. Temperatures will be in the 40's most of the day.

SUNDAY
Finally the rain comes to an end with temperatures warming into the 60's and partly sunny skies.
