Several Killed In Calif. Overturned Bus Crash
WILLIAMS, Calif. (CBS) ―
Several people have been killed and as many as 50 people have been injured when a Greyhound bus overturned and crashed in Colusa County, Calif.
The bus crashed near Lonestar Road and Abel Road near the town of Williams at around 6:12 p.m. Sunday, according to authorities. No other cars are reported to be involved in the crash.
Authorities say as many as 50 people have been injured. The severity of their injuries are not yet known.
Lonestar Road north of Abel has been shut down while emergency crews respond.
Some of the injured are being transported to Colusa Regional Medical Center, and a spokesman for the center said they had called in all available staff.
The Enloe Medical Center in Chico says they preparing to receive some badly injured victims and are treating the crash as a "disaster."
Williams is about 60 miles north of Sacramento.
