Talking Cat At Calif. Animal Shelter Causes A Stir

AUBURN, Calif. (CBS) ― There are deals from the Rivercats, to a deal for a chit chatty cat. CBS station KOVR-TV in Sacramento has the unusual story of a talking tabby who's been screaming for a new home.

You have seen a talking dog or a talking cat before, right?

So you wonder who's the lucky owner who gets to hang out with 'that' conversing companion all day.

So, it would seem strange that 'Patrick' has been in Auburn's 'Cathouse' shelter since before Christmas.

Patrick is stray that was named for his 'Irish' red coloring that didn't get a home by St. Patrick's Day. But, how can a cat so cute 'not' be adopted?

"So many are leaving animals behind," says Rosemary Frieborn.

Rosemary runs the 'Cathouse'. She says she's never seen a talking cat before, but knows there is something 'special' about Patrick.

"He's got cattitude," she tells KOVR.

Rosemary says there is the right situation out there for Patrick.

Patrick does not like dogs, other cats or children either.
