Big Turnout For 1st Day Of Early Voting In Texas

Tuesday is the first day of early voting in the Texas primary.
For the first time in a long time, Texans will play a big part in deciding who gets the democratic presidential nomination.
A number of North Texans are getting out early to make sure their voices are heard loud and clear and election officials are working to make sure every vote counts.
Election officials are ready for the long lines. They've added extra staff, made up more ballots and have additional machines at polling places.
So far, the turnout for the first day of early voting in Dallas and Tarrant County has been fantastic, with officials reporting a record turn out.

Many voters who talked to CBS 11 News said they're excited, because they finally feel like their voices will be heard in this election.
Early voting ends on February 29th.
A couple of the presidential candidates will be in North Texas Wednesday. Mike Huckabee is expected to speak at the Collin County Community College and Barack Obama will be at Reunion Arena in Dallas.
