DALLAS (CBS 11 News) ― After Thursday night's debate in Austin, Sen. Hillary Clinton spoke at a campaign rally in Dallas on Friday morning. CBS 11's Steve Pickett blogged live from the event.

Sen. Clinton, en route to Fort Worth, said she was "heartsick" over the news about the fallen Dallas Police officer. Clinton was told about the motorcade crash after her Dallas campaign rally. Most of her supporters were unaware of the accident.

And with that, its over. Clinton done in Dallas. She's shaking hands. Dolly Parton's "9 to 5" blaring in the speakers. Now, it's on to Fort Worth.

Just met 7-year-old Gabriella Kanter. Her dad brought her here to see Hillary. Here's the catch: dad supports Obama, but he also supports his little girl.

Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price leading the crowd with the chant "Si se puede" or "Yes we can!" Hillary Clinton arriving now.

Again, people are bringing their children. Vanessa Lowe, brought Jack and Nate, her 6-month-old twins, with her. She said she wouldn't miss the opportunity to see Clinton. The Lakewood resident says she wants to be part of history, and believes Clinton can win.

Supporters of Sen. Hillary Clinton are lining up along 12th and Beckley. The most obvious distinction from this rally versus Obama's Reunion Arena appearance: crowd size. There are a few hundred here so far. Obama had thousands waiting in line at this time on Wednesday. Also, it's freezing! The people are braving the chill for this rally.
