Sen. Kennedy's Wife Reaches Out To Friends

The Kennedy family has not made any public statements about the senator's condition since his hospitalization on Saturday, but the his wife, Vicki, did send an email to her friends.
Dear all,
I know you've heard by now that the last several days have been a rollercoaster, and it looks like that will be the norm for awhile.
The doctors have found the reason for Teddy's seizure: a brain tumor. He's had a biopsy, and we don't yet have final pathology or a plan or course of treatment. But I have to be honest – we've been pitched a real curveball.
Rest assured, this is only the first inning. We're gathering experts, and getting multiple opinions and the best advice we can. Teddy is leading us all, as usual, with his calm approach to getting the best information possible. He's also making me crazy (and making me laugh) by pushing to race in the Figawi this weekend.
We've heard from so many of you and wanted you to know how very much it means to us. We are grateful for your prayers, support and friendship as we deal with this unexpected news.
We hope you understand if we don't respond to all your calls and notes right now as we figure this whole thing out. But, please know that they are an enormous source of comfort.
I want you to know that Teddy is in fighting form, and ready to take this on. We're so grateful that you'll be with him along the way.
