FDA Warns Consumers to Avoid Clarcon Skin Products

A Utah skin care company is voluntarily recalling some of its skin care products which may contain harmful bacteria.
The Food and Drug Administration says Clarcon Biological Chemistry Laboratory Inc. is voluntarily recalling skin sanitizers and protectants sold under several brand names because the products may be contaminated with bacteria that could make users sick.
The FDA says the affected products include the following:
Citrushield Lotion
Dermasentials DermaBarrier
Dermassentials by Clarcon Antimicrobial Hand Sanitizer
Iron Fist Barrier Hand Treatment
Skin Shield Restaurant
Skin Shield Industrial
Skin Shield Beauty Salon Lotion
Total Skin Care Beauty
Total Skin Care Work
If you have any of these products, the FDA advises you throw them away. If you have used them and noticed any problems, call the FDA at 1-800-FDA-1088.
