FDA Warns Consumers to Avoid Clarcon Skin Products

(CBS 11 / TXA 21) A Utah skin care company is voluntarily recalling some of its skin care products which may contain harmful bacteria.

The Food and Drug Administration says Clarcon Biological Chemistry Laboratory Inc. is voluntarily recalling skin sanitizers and protectants sold under several brand names because the products may be contaminated with bacteria that could make users sick.

The FDA says the affected products include the following:

• Citrushield Lotion

• Dermasentials DermaBarrier

• Dermassentials by Clarcon Antimicrobial Hand Sanitizer

• Iron Fist Barrier Hand Treatment

• Skin Shield Restaurant

• Skin Shield Industrial

• Skin Shield Beauty Salon Lotion
