Help For The Holidays - Giving & Receiving
FORT WORTH (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ―
This holiday season, many charities and volunteer organizations in North Texas are experiencing higher demand than ever before.
The most recent figures show unemployment in North Texas at 5.3%, the highest level since July of 2006. The slow economy has forced many people to take advantage of these community resources for the first time. And because of the high demand, these charities need volunteer help now more than ever.
We've compiled this list of local charities that offer help to people in times of need. Many also need volunteers. If you know of a group that we missed,
click here to let us know about it. In your email, please include the group's name, website and phone number.
