SandersClaus Week 5: Amy Rhodes
DALLAS (TXA 21 News) ―
Amy Rhodes suffers from a host of medical issues and has been confined to a wheelchair. Her family says the chair is her freedom, but that freedom is in jeopardy. Without the chair, Amy will continue to be in pain.
Amy is in desperate need of a new power wheelchair. But SandersClaus can't do this one alone. We need your help.
If you'd like to help us give Amy back her independence, head to any Regions Bank location and donate to the SandersClaus fund. To find the branch location near you,

"I love writing poems," said Amy. "I just wrote from my heart because I just want people know that I'm just like anybody else. I can do pretty much anything like anybody else."
If You Knew MeBy Amy Rhodes
If you really knew me you would know that I'm just like you.
If you really knew me, you would understand what my life is like.
If you really knew you would know that even though you think I can't hear the rumors that are sometimes spread about me, but I can.
If you really knew me, I would want you to walk in my shoes for a day.
If you really knew me, you would know that I used to be a lot more active than I am today.
If you really knew me, you would know that I strive to ride horses again.
If you really knew me, you would know that even through I'm a serious student at school, I like to relax at home like everyone else.
If you really knew me you would know I can do things just like you, just in different ways.
