A playground in Woodland Park caught on fire on July 21, 2008. The park is located in the 1300 block of Westshore in Richardson. Firefighters were able to extinguish it quickly.
An estimated $40,000 worth of damage was caused to the playground, which belongs to the Richardson Independent School District.
Officials confirm the fire was intentionally set, and hope to have an update on the case by Thursday afternoon.
