On December 18, 2006 North Texas Army Staff Sgt. Brian Mintzlaff died in Iraq during his third tour of duty. The 34-year-old soldier was also a husband and father. These photos are of who he was and how he was remembered at memorials both in Iraq and North Texas. Brian's widow, Jocelyn, helped start the American Widow Project.
