The State-Thomas Historic District in the Uptown section of Dallas includes many Victorian homes from the late 1800's. The detailed architecture, towering oaks and manicured lawns offer the visitor a peaceful contrast from the busy and modern McKinney Avenue and the skyscrapers of downtown Dallas.
