Nastia Liukin, of Parker, is bringing more gymnastics medals to North Texas. Liukin won the women's all-around title at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. Her victory marks the second consecutive time that the women's gold medalist has come from Plano's World Olympic Gymnastic Academy. Carly Patterson, who also trained at the gym, won the title in 2004. Liukin also won silver in the uneven parallel bars and bronze in the floor exercise in Beijing.
