PGA Tour Announces North Texas Golf Stops in 2010
Back-To-Back local tournaments part of Texas swing
FORT WORTH (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ―
The PGA Tour announced its annual return to North Texas. In 2010, golf fans can enjoy two consecutive weeks of professional golf at Las Colinas and Fort Worth.
The HP Byron Nelson Championship is the week of May 17th through the 23rd. That will be followed by the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial. The Fort Worth tournament is scheduled for the week of May 24th through the 30th.
The North Texas tournaments are part of a three week tournament swing through the Lone Star State. The Valero Texas Open in San Antonio kicks off the Texas leg of the tour starting May 10th.
The PGA will arrive in Texas earlier in the season. The Shell Houston Open will be played the week of March 29th through April 4th. It will be the warm up to the tour's first major, The Masters, starting the week of April 5th.
