Dallas Cowboys 2008 Season Schedule Released
DALLAS (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ―
The NFL released the 2008 regular season schedule for the Dallas Cowboys on Tuesday afternoon.
The schedule features six nationally broadcast games including three "Sunday Night Football" primetime telecasts from Texas Stadium and one "Monday Night Football" appearance.
The season kicks off on September 7 in Cleveland. This will be the fifth time in the past seven seasons that the Cowboys have started off on the road. This will also be the first Dallas appearance in Cleveland since 1991, where the 'Boys beat the Browns 26-14.
Also of note, the Cowboys face off against the Seattle Seahawks at home on Thanksgiving Day. This will be the third time that the Cowboys have met the Seahawks on Thanksgiving Day.
The regular season ends on December 28 with a division game against the Philadelphia Eagles. This will be the sixth time since 2000 that the team has closed out the season on the road.
A week before the 2008 season ends, on December 20, the Cowboys square off against the Baltimore Ravens in Irving. This is the the last scheduled regular season game at Texas Stadium. The team's new stadium in Arlington is set to open at the beginning of the 2009 season.
