Pacers Push Past Mavericks In Preseason Finale

DALLAS (AP) ― Danny Granger scored 24 points, T.J. Ford had 19 points, nine assists and seven rebounds, and the Indiana Pacers beat the Dallas Mavericks 114-91 on Thursday night in the final preseason game for both teams.

Marquis Daniels added 22 points and nine rebounds, and Rasho Nesterovic had 14 points and nine rebounds for the Pacers (4-4).

Josh Howard scored 19 points and Dirk Nowitzki had 16 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Mavericks (4-4).

Dallas pulled as close as 85-83 early in the fourth quarter on Gerald Green's 3-pointer, but Nesterovic scored six points and Ford had four to kick off a 23-2 run that gave Indiana a 108-85 lead against the Mavs' reserves.

The Mavericks were without Jerry Stackhouse (foot) and Devean George (bruised hand). Mike Dunleavy (sore knee), Jeff Foster (upset stomach) and Travis Diener (sore foot) sat out for the Pacers.

The Pacers open the regular season at Detroit on Oct. 29 while the Mavericks open at home against the Houston Rockets one night later.
