Owens Takes Another Break At Cowboys Camp
OXNARD, Calif. (AP) ―
For the second day in a row, Terrell Owens wasn't an active participant in practice at Dallas Cowboys training camp Monday.
Owens strolled out onto the field about 35 minutes after the start of the morning session, when the team was in shorts without pads for the first of two practices scheduled Monday. It wasn't clear if T.O. would take part in the afternoon practice.
Coach Wade Phillips has started giving veteran players some break, but Owens was also off Sunday.
Tight end Jason Witten and linebacker Zach Thomas, who also got a break from practice Sunday with Owens, were back on the field Monday.
Flozell Adams, the four-time Pro Bowler left tackle going into his 11th season, also didn't participate in team and position drills Monday morning. Adams also got a break from the first of two practices Saturday.
The Cowboys have practiced 11 straight days since opening camp. They aren't scheduled to have a day off until Sunday, the day after their preseason opener.
