Romo Joins Cowboys For Bye Week Practice

IRVING (AP) ― Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is practicing again.

Romo was back on the field Wednesday, taking snaps and throwing passes with a small splint on his throwing hand. He's missed the last three games with a broken pinkie.

Romo said he had no problems during a morning walkthrough. He was headed to a full-scale practice later in the afternoon and remains optimistic about returning for Dallas' next game, a week from Sunday at Washington.

Romo was hurt Oct. 12 in an overtime loss at Arizona. He practiced some that week and even warmed up before the next game against St. Louis, but realized then that the splint protecting the broken bone made it difficult for him to get a good grip on the ball.
