Red Wings forward Johan Franzen will be out for three to four weeks because of a sprained left knee, the team said Sunday.
The Detroit left winger damaged the medial collateral ligament during the second period of Saturday night's 6-5 shootout win over the Chicago Blackhawks.
Franzen was injured during a collision with Blackhawks defenseman Brent Sopel in the neutral zone.
