#4 TCU Getting New Attention & New Uniforms
FORT WORTH (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ―
There is still room on the TCU Horned Frogs football bandwagon.
The Fort Worth school may not be the #1 team in the state, but they are among the top college football teams in the nation. The Horned Frogs are ranked #4 in the latest Bowl Championship Series (BCS) standings following Saturday's games.
The Frogs are ranked behind SEC football leaders Florida and Alabama, and their former Southwest Conference rival Texas Longhorns.
TCU moved up two spots in the rankings, jumping ahead of Cincinnati and moving further past the other 'BCS buster' Boise State.
All three teams remain undefeated at 9-0, each having three games left.
This is the highest ranking for TCU since being declared the 1938 college football national champions. The last time they were ranked in the top five was 1955.
TCU will face #16 Utah Saturday at Amon G. Carter Stadium on their Fort Worth campus. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. Saturday night.
The Utah game will mark the debut of TCU's new football uniforms, which were put on display at the campus bookstore on Friday.
Also annouced Sunday, ESPN will host it's weekly national colllege football show "ESPN Gameday" live on TCU's campus. This will be the first time the school has hosted the popular cable pregame show.
