Apple has just released its new version of
its most popular iPod, the Nano. The biggest feature on this Nano is the camera, the first time an iPod has had a camera of any kind.
The camera is at the bottom, yet the screen is at the top, so it makes it difficult to shoot right side up. You'll have to turn it landscape, on its side, for better quality video.
One feature the iPod has been lacking was an FM-band radio.
Most MP3 players have FM tuners these days, and now the new line of iPod Nanos follow suite.
Another feature is a built-in pedometer that can measure your steps. It gives you a sense of how far you have walked every day so, in a slightly subtle way, it promotes exercise and health.
This new Nano has taken a slashing in prices: The 8 GB version is now $149, while the 16 GB that can hold up to 4,000, songs is $179.
Whether you are looking for someone else or yourself, you now have one more MP3 player to consider when starting to think about holiday shopping.
