The Texas health department is making a flu vaccine locator available on its Web site
TexasFlu.org to help people find the vaccines for both seasonal flu and swine flu.
The locator was posted Thursday. Texas Department of State Health Services spokeswoman Carrie Williams says that they waited to post a locator on the Web site until the swine flu supply increased from the initial low levels.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has allocated nearly 4.2 million swine flu doses to Texas. The vaccine is currently being sent to providers for certain groups: pregnant women, children 6 months through 4 years, 5- through 64-year-olds with high-risk health conditions, health care workers who provide direct patient care and close contacts of infants 6 months or younger.
